This morning, I had the pleasure of delivering the keynote at the Heads of School meeting organised by the Secretariat for Catholic Education.
The meeting formed part of the process focused on building a common framework for an AI policy in Catholic schools in Malta.
My keynote focused on the ethical pillars that should underpin such a framework, and on how these flow naturally from a Catholic understanding of the human person, particularly dignity and flourishing.
Catholic schools already have the deep anthropological foundations needed to think carefully about AI adoption. The task is to make those foundations explicit, and to build from there.
